public class MenuSelectionTrie

A trie is a data structure for storing very similar data, such as dictionaries and the like. Usually this data structure is used for compact in-memory caching, because the lookup is very fast and the overhead is lower than with hashes. Here the trie (spoken [tri:] from "retrieval") is used to merge MenuSelections in our structure elements tree into an actual tree structure so that they can be unfolded by the root. A merging (which is actually not common for a trie) is done at the end to merge branches that have several hierarchical levels into a single branch (inspired by the PatriciaTrie). TODO: Make this data structure somehow more generic, so that we might be able to reuse it in other places as well.
