getIcon

public static javax.swing.ImageIcon getIcon(java.lang.String iconName)

Resolves and returns an ImageIcon from the classpath.

Looks up the resource in the following order:

1. Exact path as provided
2. Root-prefixed path (/<iconName>)
3. JavaLobby icon library prefix (/org/javalobby/icons/<iconName>)

Successfully resolved icons are cached in memory.

Parameters:

iconName - relative or absolute resource path of the icon; must not be null

Returns:

the resolved ImageIcon, or null if the resource does not exist

clearCache

public static void clearCache()

Clears all cached icon instances.
